Important deadlines for the 2017-2018 school year

Due to high wait list numbers, the last day to add any child to the waitlist for SCHOOL YEAR 17-18 was February 27.

The last day to accept new students into a program that has room (for this school year) is April 2.

Returning Families (Currently enrolled in Discovery Link School Year Before/After School Programs): You should have received an email on 2/27 with a username and password to login to Click on “Members” to sign in. If you did not receive an email, please call 720-423-1781 for assistance.

Returning Families: If you are told you don’t meet a prerequisite, please go into the personal tab and ADD a second contact. Two emergency contacts are required to register. Instructions on adding a contact are located in the FAQ’s linked below.

Once you are approved into the system, you may access your account through the Insite Connect app.

SchoolCare Works FAQ’s – SPANISH

Discovery Link offers full day programming on most DPS Teacher Planning and Assessment days (Discovery Days) and holds full day camps during several days of the holiday breaks (Discovery Camp).

Pre-registration is required for all dismissal day and school break camps and is not included in your regular before and after school cost. Registration is taken on a first come, first served basis for these programs. Upon registration, a confirmation letter will be sent via e-mail or standard mail to confirm your child’s registration. Parents/Guardians who have not registered for Dismissal Day or Break Camps and use drop-in care for their child(ren) will be asked to complete an Information Card immediately at the site.

Registration for 2018-2019 before and after school programs at all Discovery Link sites will occur:

  • April 16th-27th for all returning students, their siblings and previously waitlisted families
  • May 7th-11th for all new families

All returning and waitlisted families wishing to register will receive an email the week of April 9th with a link to enroll on the SchoolCare Works platform. Enrollment in Summer Camp or Dismissal Day Camps does NOT qualify families as “returning” families. Only children enrolled in Discovery Link 2017-2018 school year before/after programs are considered “returning”. Dates and times for in-person support at our sites and at the Acoma Campus will be posted on our website by April 9th. All returning students and their siblings are guaranteed a spot in Discovery Link if registration is completed between April 16th at 8:00 a.m. and April 27th at 4:00 p.m. Waitlisted families will then be put into any remaining spots at sites if their registration is completed in the same date and time frame.

All new families are welcome to register anytime during the period of May 7th-11th. In order to mirror the DPS Choice process, Discovery Link will then run a lottery for any remaining spots at our sites. Registration for new families is not first come, first-served. This is in contrast to previous years. As long as a new family registers between May 7th at 8:00 a.m. and May 11th at 4:00 p.m., they will be entered into the lottery.

Las inscripciones en los programas para antes y después de clases en 2018-2019 en los centros de Discovery Link se realizarán en las siguientes fechas:

  • del 16 al 27 de abril para todos los estudiantes que retornan, sus hermanos y las familias en lista de espera.
  • del 7 al 11 de mayo para todas las familias nuevas

Las familias que retornen y las que estén en lista de espera (al 27 de febrero) y deseen inscribirse recibirán un correo electrónico la semana del 9 de abril con un enlace para inscribirse en la plataforma SchoolCare Works. Haberse inscrito a los Campamentos de Discovery Link o Campamentos de Verano no le califican como familia “que regresa” al registrarse para el año escolar venidero. Solamente se consideran familias “que regresan” a los niños quienes estuvieron inscritos en los programas de antes/después de escuela de Discovery Link en año 2017-2018. A más tardar, el 9 de abril se publicarán en nuestro sitio web las fechas y horarios de apoyo en persona en nuestros centros y en el Campus Acoma. Todos los estudiantes que retornen y sus hermanos tienen un lugar asegurado en Discovery Link si se inscriben entre el 16 de abril a las 8:00 a. m. y el 27 de abril a las 4:00 p. m. Luego, se adjudicarán los cupos restantes a las familias en lista de espera si completan la inscripción en la misma fecha y plazo.

Se anima a las familias nuevas a inscribirse durante el período que va del 7 al 11 de mayo. A fin de aplicar el mismo proceso de elección de DPS, Discovery Link hará un sorteo para adjudicar los cupos restantes en nuestros centros. Las inscripciones de las familias nuevas no son por orden de llegada, a diferencia de los años anteriores. Para entrar en el sorteo, la familia nueva debe inscribirse entre el 7 de mayo a las 8:00 a. m. y el 11 de mayo a las 4:00 p. m. Las familias nuevas podrán inscribirse en un máximo de tres centros. A más tardar, el 1 de julio de 2018, cada familia debe elegir el centro deseado para que se le adjudique un lugar en la escuela o en la lista de espera de esa escuela.
